Adelaide Fringe Festival 2014 – Afrikan Experience

Over 300 people attended Afrikarts Australia’s 2014 Fringe show Afrikan Experience at the Dom Polski hall in Adelaide.

Bortier Okoe and his group Telema Bii kicked off the show, thrilling the audience with drumming and dancing.

The following day, Asanti Dance Theatre from Melbourne, graced the stage to present an unforgettable experience of exhilarating African dance and phenomenal acrobatics.

Sun of Africa, fronted by world-renowned dancer Jean-Marc Agbogba from Ivory Coast closed the show with mesmerizing high-energy rhythms of the djembe and traditional dance routines.

CEO and event organiser Phil Allan said the Afrikan Experience show was not just about coming to the show but being part of the show. “Everyone was up and dancing by the end of each show and that was the good thing about it “

Salt Magazine was happy to share the experience and wish Afrikarts all the best with future shows. Check out all the photos on our Facebook page!
